Location
The Azores are a Portuguese archipelago, composed of nine islands and located just
off the coast of
Portugal, between Europe and North America. Gifted by an extraordinary
natural beauty, the Azores are embedded in the deep blue North Atlantic Ocean,
surrounded by striking green landscapes and the history each village and city has to offer.
Saint Michael’s island is the biggest Azorean island and the capital, Ponta Delgada,
is the most populous city of the Azores, with about 70,000 habitants.
The Cardeal Hostel (Hospedaria Cardeal) is located in the Arrifes,
a small locality in the suburbs of Ponta Delgada (10 minutes by car).
The Hostel is also just 5 minutes away from the airport, and close to a supermarket,
banking facilities, pharmacies and a few traditional restaurants.
